On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, the Sejong institute held the 28th colloquium on the theme of "Abe Cabinet's pursuit of Constitutional Amendment." With the moderation by Dr. Myon woo Lee, director of Department of Diplomatic Strategy Studies​, Senior Research Fellow Soung Chul Kim evaluated Abe cabinet's goal of constitutional amendment, and the main issue in conflict, and the ensuing stances of each party. Dr. Kim implied that while the article 9 of the constitution will be unlikely to be amended, other articles regarding social security, economic rights, emergency response could be amended.
