Ninth Sejong Policy Forum

On November 24, 2021 (Wed), the Sejong Institute held the 9th Sejong Policy Forum in 2021 at the Seoul Seminar Room of the Somerset Palace Hotel under the theme of "Declaration of the End of War: Issues and Promotion Strategies."

The 9th Sejong Policy Forum began with the opening speech of Lee Sang-hyun  and Lee Dae-woo. This forum's first session was: "What is the problem with the declaration of war?"; The background and issues" and the second session was divided into "Entrance to Related Countries," and all the panels presented.

In the first session, Cha Doo-hyun, head of the Foreign Affairs and Security Center at the Asan Institute for Policy Affairs, and Kim Dong-yeop, head of the Research Institute of Far East Studies at Kyungnam University, presented the theme of "What is the problem with the end-of-war declaration?"
In the second session, Kim Sang-ki, a researcher at the Institute for Unification, announced South Korea's position, Jeong Sung-sung, head of the North Korean Research Center at Sejong Institute, followed by Kim Jae-cheon, a professor at Sogang University, Joo Jae-woo, a professor at Kyung Hee University. Kim Jung-seop, vice director of Sejong Institute, attended the forum as an observer and became a broader discussion.

- Joo Jae-woo (Kyung Hee University), "The position of related countries: China's position."
