Ukraine crisis becomes a key test for the Biden administration's diplomacy​​

English Abstract

Amid the possibility of a war in Ukraine, Russia began a hybrid war to remove security concerns caused by NATO's eastward march and to adjust the European security system. Russia, a genius for situation turnover, is using the U.S.‘ hasty response to the conflict between Russia and the West that began since the Minsk Protocol failed. Russia has held a round of negotiations to discuss European security issues, including the Ukraine crisis, in order to raise military threats. If the negotiations fail to achieve the minimum results expected, there may be a strong temptation to seek ways to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO through military action. An outbreak of war will put a heavy burden not only on Europe but also on the international economy. NATO allies will be more united but will send bad signals to China and keep North Korea away from denuclearizing. The search for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis becomes a key test for Biden the Biden administration's diplomacy.  ​
