Demographic Change and National Security: A Study on Korea's Population Crisis and International Migration Problems

   We are experiencing an unprecedented demographical change since the last century. As the major population change model theory explains, industrialization and technological development significantly reduced human mortality by improving medical and living standards and enabled a significant increase in the population. Depending on the degree of entry into the demographic change stage, the difference in population growth rate by country is significant, but the total population size of a man is expected to increase in the near future. According to a UN analysis, the world's population is expected to reach 8.5 billion by 2030, 9.7 billion by 2050, and 10.4 billion by 2100.
