Strengthening the Korea-U.S. alliance, normalization of Korea-Japan relations, and strengthening security cooperation between Korea, the U.S., and Japan is inevitable considering changes in the international security order and for Korea's national profit. Due to Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, international security orders such as the UNSC and the NPT are fluctuating. Military tension in Taiwan Strait is escalating due to intensifying strategic confrontation between the U.S. and China. North Kore is upgrading its nuclear and missile capabilities and does not hide its aggressive nuclear strategy. To respond to such uncertainties in the Korean peninsula and global security, solidifying the U.S. alliance and security cooperation with the U.S. and Japan is required. This policy direction will be a starting point for diplomatic and security policies that will enable Korea to become a "Global Pivotal State"
