English Abstract

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Sino-North Korean Mutual Aid and Cooperation Friendship Treaty, North Korea and China announced that their relations will not only remain friendly but also develop to a new level. Although North Korea and China have maintained a blood alliance and cooperated, they have repeatedly clashed with each other. For example, in the 2000s, there was a conflict between North Korea and China over North Korea's nuclear test. However, economic exchanges between North Korea and China continued to develop as a result of mutual economic needs. In fact, the scope of economic exchanges between North Korea and China is expected to further expand with the establishment of a new blood alliance between North Korea and China in 2018.
