Maritime Security and South Korea's Indo-Pacific Strategy after Xi Jinping's Third Consecutive Term

   Since Xi Jinping's third consecutive term, the maritime security dispute in the Asia-Pacific region has taken a new turn. The Xi Jinping administration which ideologized the crisis accompanying the development is strengthening its offensive response to disputes over territorial, sovereignty, and development. While China's transmission of maritime sovereignty and changes in the status quo are becoming a fait accompli, the Yoon administration's Indo-Pacific strategy and Korean cooperation will deepen the strategic contradictions between South Korea and China and the Inter-Korea relations. South Korea needs to seek in-between powers strategies for stability in inter-Korean relations and comprehensive maritime security cooperation.
