English Abstract

The crisis in ASEAN, which began in health and medical care in 2020 caused by COVID-19, has expanded to politics, economics, and society at large. In 2021, ASEAN will also be at the crossroad between integration and separation or growth and stagnation prompted by the full-fledged U.S.-China hegemonic competition. The year of 2021 will be particularly an important year for ASEAN states as they commit towards the ASEAN Community Vision 2025. The three visions of the ASEAN Community (Political-Security, Economic, Socio-Cultural Community) are in line with the South Korean New Southern Policy’s 3P (Peace, Prosperity, and People). It is, therefore, necessary to think about the policy goals and detailed projects of each 3P of the New Southern Policy from the perspective of implementation and realization of the ASEAN Community Vision 2025.
