This book contains the research on major issues how to overcome frictions in the US-Korea-China trilateral relations to support successful development of the Korea-China strategic cooperation partnership. The research covered the improvement of Korea-China relations, intensification of the US-Korea alliance, North Korea and North Korea's denuclearization, missile defense program, military exchange between Korea and China, human rights in North Korea, and human rights of the North Korean defectors. For win-win diplomacy in the Korea-China and Korea-US relations we analyzed the possibility of simultaneous development of close relations with the two countries and how it would affect the Korea-US alliance. We also analyzed how North Korean problems would affect Korea's relations with the US and China and the possibility of North Korean denuclearization, emergency situation, and adoption of an open door policy. We evaluated the importance of the Korea-US-China trilateral cooperation to resolve North Korean problems. Amid abrasive opinions on missile defense program between the US and China, Korea's military exchange with China may erode the US-Korea alliance, but it would also drive a wedge into the military relations between China and North Korea. Lastly, this book compares different perspectives on human rights in North Korea and emphasizes the importance of international cooperation to help North Korea defectors, especially by South Korea, China, and the US.
