Korea has undergone significant socio-political developments since democratic transition 

of 1987 that it has become an exemplary case to the international community. However, some 

people are not satisfied with the development of procedural democracy lacking some components 

of substantive democracy. With the people's discontent in mind, this volume intends to point 

out key factors influencing domestic socio-political situations for the next 15 years, to predict 

the forthcoming socio-political relations in that period, and ultimately to present a desirable 

future socio-political order, that is, "advanced, peace-loving strong state". For the purposes, 

this book tries to set up detailed goals and visions in five areas, that is political institution,
