On December 8th 2008, the inauguration of the new Chairman of the Sejong Foundation, Ro-Myung Gong, was held at the Grand Auditorium of the Sejong Institute. 

Chairman Gong reiterated the Sejong Institute's identity and purpose of establishment and emphasized the importance of providing the citizens with the vision of national security through effective policy research and academic studies. He also mentioned that he is very fond of the Sejong Institute, and stressed his willingness to participate in developing the organization wit the spirit of harmony and contribution.
