Eunsook Chung | Selected as 2019 Outstanding Scholarly Book

Dr. Eunsook Chung’s (Senior Research Fellow, Department of Security Strategy Studies) book, Change in Global Order and UN Governance of Peace and Security (Publisher: Sunin) was selected as 2019 Outstanding Scholarly Book by the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Korea. The Outstanding Scholarly Book is awarded each year by the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Korea to promote academic research and writing activities in the fields of Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences, and Korean Studies.  

Lee Jong-seok | Awarded Haegong Democracy and Peace Prize

On July 10, Lee Jong-seok, a senior research fellow and the former Unification Minister, was awarded Haegong Democracy and Peace Prize (Peace and Unification Division). Former Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok was acknowledged for his efforts in promoting peace in the Korean Peninsula and expanding inter-Korean exchange and cooperation by creating peaceful inter-Korean atmosphere and organizing a peace forum in the Korean peninsula.  

The 6th Thesis Competition on Trilateral Cooperation

2019 ROK-China Think Tank Strategy Forum

2019 Korea Global Forum for Peace (KGFP) in Japan

On July 16, “2019 Korea Global Forum for Peace (KGFP) in Japan” was held in Keio University, Japan. The forum was hosted by the Ministry of Unification of the Republic of Korea and jointly organized by the Sejong Institute and Keio University Center for Contemporary Korean Studies on the topic of “Denuclearization and Peace on the Korean Peninsula and the Role of Japan.”
