Meeting with Foreign Journalists on Korean Peninsula Issues

On Wednesday, August 30, the Sejong Institute held a meeting with foreign journalists invited by the International Exchange Promotion Association(INEPA) and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Research Fellow Lee Seong-Hyon had a Q&A session with the journalists on the South Korean security situation against the North Korean provocations, the ROK-U.S.-China trilateral diplomatic landscape surrounding the North Korean nuclear issue, North Korean circumstances under Kim Jong-un. Also, he elaborated on South Korea's measures to alleviate inter-Korean tensions ahead of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and the prospect for international relations in Northeast Asia. Some twenty journalists from eight countries including Austria, Czech Republic, Argentina, and Sri Lanka participated in the meeting.
