January 13, 2023, the Sejong Institute held a meeting with the Defense Attaché of Bangladesh, A F M Shamimul Islam.

President Sang Hyun Lee, Vice President Jung Sup Kim, and Yoon Jung Choi, Director of the Center for Indo-Pacific Studies exchanged opinions with A F M Shamimul Islam regarding the political situation in the Indo-Pacific region and Korea’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, as well as opportunities for cooperation between the two countries to commemorate the year 2023, which remarks the 50th anniversary of ROK-Bangladesh diplomatic ties.
