Sejong-JIIA Forum

The Sejong Institute held a 2023 joint forum for with the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) in Tokyo on Oct. 17. This year marks the second meeting since the launch of the Sejong Institute-JIIA Forum in 2019. During the two sessions, the meeting focused on the current status and possibility of security cooperation between South Korea, the U.S. and Japan, the political situation in Northeast Asia, and China issues.

 

On the JIIA side, Chairman Kenichirō Sasae, Sakata Yasuyo (Kanda University of Foreign Studies), Kurata Hideya, (Defense University), Kazumi Sawada (The Mainichi Editorial Writer), Akio Takahara (Tokyo University), and Komoki Iimura (Japan Institute of International Affairs) attended the forum. President Sang-Hyun Lee, Vice President Myonwoo Lee, Chang Soo Lee Director of Center for Japan Studies, Jae-hung Chung, Director of Security Strategy Studies, and Professor Jeong-gun Seo of Kyunghee University attended the forum.
