On August 30, 2016, the 23rd Sejong Colloquium was held on the subject of “the U.S. Public Opinion and Foreign Policy.” The colloquium was moderated by Dr. Myon woo Lee, director of the Department of Diplomatic Strategy Studies, and presented by our senior fellow, Dr. Miong-sei Kang.
Based on the statistical data of U.S. public opinion polls on U.S. presidential election, Dr. Kang prospected on the U.S. presidential election results and the new administration’s North Korea and Korean Peninsula policy, and Prof. Hyun-Wook Kim of the Korea National Diplomacy Academy was invited to have in-depth discussion of the correlation between the U.S. public opinion and foreign policy and the China factor.
