On Tuesday, January 17, the Sejong Institute held its 2nd Colloquium this year on the subject of "Current Situation of Japan's Diplomacy." Director Myon woo Lee of the Department of Diplomatic Strategy Studies) gave the presentation on the topic and analyzed the background and outcome of the Russo-Japanese summit and the outlook for the bilateral relations. Director Lee predicted that Russo-Japanese relations will unfold with the focus on economic cooperation and cooperation projects in Russia's Far East for confidence-building for the time being, thus maintaining the friendly atmosphere.
