Sang-hyun Lee, President of the Sejong Institute, attended the "Global Security Governance: Current Challenges and China's Solutions" international conference hosted by the School of International Studies of Peking University on June 29. Experts from 11 countries, including Russia, Pakistan, Germany, the U.S., Australia, Israel, Norway, India, and the United Kingdom, attended the meeting, and more than 100 scholars from leading universities and research institutes in China also attended the meeting. In Korea, Heungkyu Kim, a professor at Ajou University, and Sang-hyun Lee, President of the Sejong institute, were invited.
The conference began with the opening speech by Tan Xiuying, vice editor of the International Security Studies published by the School of International Studies of Peking University, and with Bi Yanying, vice president of the School of International Relations's keynote adresses, discussed the international security situation, Northeast Asia regional security situation, Chinese security theory, and China's role in global security governance.
