On Friday, November 11, 2016, the Sejong institute held the 29th colloquium on the theme of "The Trump Administration and U.S.-China Relations." With the moderation by Dr. Myon woo Lee, director of Department of Diplomatic Strategy Studies​, Senior Research Fellow Tai-Hwan Lee analyzed the foreign policy orientation of the president-elect Trump and prospected US-China relations based on this. Dr. Lee asserted that while U.S.-China economic confrontation may escalate, South Korea should have detailed strategy for each issue in preparation for this as the two countries will engage in cooperation in other areas.
