Subject: Development and ODA Based on Human Rights

On February 2, 2012, the Sejong Institute and Korea International Cooperation Agency co-hosted the 4th Sejong-KOICA Colloquium at the Small Conference Room of the Sejong Institute. The colloquium was attended by the majority of researchers from both organizations and moderated by the Director Hyeonsik Jang of KOICA.

The first presentation was given by Dr. Taeju Lee of Hansung University on the topic of "The Challenge of Implementing Efficient Development and Human Rights Based ODA". The second presentation was given by Ewha University's Professor Dr. Jiyeong Kim on "Myanmar: A 'Sub-Saharan African' Case in Southeast Asia". Discussion was led by designated discussant Dr. Jinwoo Choi of Hanyang University and Yeongmi Yang of Civil Society Organization Network in Korea.
