On August 29th Tuesday, at the Sejong Institute's 15th Colloquium of 2023, Jaehung Chung, Director of the Center for Chinese Studies at Sejong Institute, presented the theme of "U.S. de-risking strategy and China's response"

Recently, as U.S.-China relations have been conflicting with each other, the Colloquium aimed to seek the background and the true purpose of the U.S., and China's perception and response strategy for "derisking", indicating the two different positions and strategy.

It also discussed the effectiveness of the U.S. "Delisking" strategy, the signs of a slowdown in the Chinese economy, which has recently emerged as a significant variable, and briefly looked at future U.S.-China global supply chain competition.

After the presentation, participants intensively discussed the perspectives and strategies of both the U.S. and China's "derisking" strategies.
