On December 3 (Wed) from 10:00 to12:00, the 16th Sejong Defense Forum was held at Sejong Institute under the theme of "The Future of China-Japan Relations and Security Order in Northeast Asia: Strategic Competition vs. Strategic Engagement"

At the forum, Young-June Park, Director of Korea National Defense University Institute for National Security Studies, and Haneol Lee, Professor at Pusan University made a presentation followed by discussions by Wooseon Choi, Professor at Korea National Diplomatic Academy, and Yun-hyung Gil, Editor at Hankyoreh, all under the moderation by Jungsup Kim, Principal Research Fellow at Sejong Institute.​​ 

The panelists presented their views on the future of China-Japan relations and security in Northeast Asia, its assessment and perceptions, followed by a Q&A session.

The discussion featured in-depth discussions on the topic by experts from government ministries, media, academia, and other fields.​
