On Thursday, August 17, the Sejong Institute held the "2017 Sejong Advisory Meeting" at the institute. This meeting intended to evaluate the research projects in 2017 and to discuss the research topics and measures to develop the institute in 2018. The list of advisers included Professor Koh You-hwan (Dongguk University), Professor Kim Yeol-su (Shungshin Women's University), Professor Shin Beom-chul (Korea National Diplomacy Academy), Dr. Cheon Seongwhun (Asan Institute for Policy Studies), Dr. Chung Jinyoung (Kyung Hee University), Dr. Cho Sung-ryul (Institute for National Security and Strategy), and Professor Hwang Jae-ho (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies). Along with Sejong fellows, they discussed the role of the institute as a non-governmental research institute and the tasks and projects it should pursue.
