On November 24, the Sejong Institute held the ROK-Japan Strategy Forum on the topic of “Relevant Countries’ Response to the North Korean Crisis” in Tokyo. The forum was to seek improvement measures for ROK-Japan relations, prospect on South Korea, China, and Japan’s response to the North Korean crisis, and to ensure Japanese cooperation on South Korea’s policy on Northeast Asian order and preparations for unification. Experts from universities and think tanks including President Jin Chang Soo, Vice President Choi Kang (Asan Institute of Policy Studies), Professor Hosoya Yuichi (Keio University), and Professor Endo Ken (Hokkaido University) and Japan’s foreign ministry officials gathered to have an in-depth discussion on the North Korean nuclear and missile development and South Korea and Japan’s response to it.
