On Wednesday, November 16, the Sejong Institute held a seminar with University of Southern California on the topic of “Strengthening South Korea-U.S. Relations through Digital Public Diplomacy” in Los Angeles. Beginning with the Keynote speech from USC Korean Studies Director Professor David Kang, the first session dealt with the public diplomacy in cyberspace aimed at the US public under the topic of “Engaging the American Public in Cyberspace” based on Dr. Jung-Yeop Woo of Asan Institute for Policy Studies. In the second session on the topic of “US-ROK Alliance and Public Diplomacy in the Digital Age” moderated by Sejong Institute’s Vice President Un-Chul Yang, the participants discussed the ROK-US alliance in the digital age and measures to pursue public diplomacy following the presentation by Professor Seong-ho Sheen from Seoul National University.
