The 7th Sejong Policy Forum was held on Wednesday, July 19, 2016 on the
topic of “Park Geun-hye Administration's Three Foreign Policy Initiatives: Evaluation and Future Tasks.” The forum was conducted in two
sessions. During the first session, Jong-chul Park, senior research fellow at
the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU), Hyun-ik Hong, senior
research fellow at the Sejong Institute, and Won-hoon Chu from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs (MOFA) participated in the debate on the topic of 'Evaluation of Three Foreign Policy Initiatives of Park Geun-hye Administration.' Soo-seok Lee from the Institute for National Security Strategy (INSS) and
Professor Yoon-young Cho from Chung-Ang University gave presentations on the
“Foreign Policy Initiatives and Future Tasks” during the second session. Thirteen
experts in the fields of diplomacy, security, and unification policy, including
Professor Bum-jun Kim of Kyonggi University, Professor Yeol-soo Kim of Sungshin
Women’s University, and Professor Young-ho Kim of Korea National Defense
University, discussed the prospects of Park administration’s three initiatives.
