On September 13, Sejong institute held a joint conference on public-private network of the Northeast Asian Peace and Cooperation Initiative (NAPCI) with Hiroshima Peace Institute. With the intent to discuss the measures and Implementation Strategies to establish NAPCI network in the region, this conference was attended by 15 Korean experts including Chang Soo Jin, the President of the Sejong Institute, and Sang Hyun Lee, the Vice President for Research, and around 10 Japanese experts including Gen Kikkawa, the President of Hiroshima Peace Institute. The participants analyzed the current issues in nuclear safety, disaster management, and the environment, and discussed plans to establish and measures to expand the public-private network in these fields.
