On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, the Sejong Institute welcomed a delegation from the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) led by former Ambassador Su Ge (President of CIIS), and held a roundtable discussion on a variety of issues related to the ROK-China relationship, current affairs in Northeast Asia, and the assessment on North Korea’s 7th Congress of Workers’ Party among others. The roundtable was conducted in a Q&A format moderated by Vice President Sang Hyun Lee of the Research Planning Division. Vice President Haksook Paik of the Training and Education Division, senior fellows Tai Hwan Lee, Soung Chul Kim, Seong-chang Cheong, and research fellows Jaehung Chung and Seong-Hyon Lee participated in the roundtable. The Sejong research fellows and the CIIS delegation agreed on the benefit of continuing exchanges and mutual cooperation between the two institutions in order to help contribute to the regional peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
