Fourth Sejong Cybersecurity Forum

The Sejong Institute's Cybersecurity Center held ​its fourth Sejong Cybersecurity Forum on Wednesday, May 25​ at the Somerset Palace Hotel (Seoul) under the theme of "What will the new government do about cyber security? - focusing on strategy, industry, and human resource development. Based on Korea's existing cybersecurity policy and the new government's cybersecurity-related pledges, the forum was planned to discuss the direction of the new government's cybersecurity policy, focusing on strategies, industry, and human resource development.

 

At the forum, Professor Lim Jong-in (Korea University, former presidential special security advisor​) presented "Diagnosis of Cyber Security Policy and Direction of the New Government"​," Vice Chairman Yoon Doo-sik (Korea Information Security Industry Association) presented "New Government Policy Direction for Developing the Cyber Security Industry."​ In response, Professor Kim Tae-sung (Chungbuk National University) presented "Cultivation of Cyber Security Personnel in Platform-based Government." Professor Kim Minho (Sungkyunkwan University), President Choi Donggeun (SsenStone, former president of the CISO Association), and Professor Yoo Ji-young (Sangmyung University​) discussed various detailed topics​, and various related experts participated in the free discussion.
