On October 10, “2019 Korea Global Forum for Peace (KGFP)” was held at the Charhar Institute in Beijing, China, under the title of “Denuclearization and Peace on the Korean Peninsula and the ROK-China Cooperation.” The Forum was hosted by the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs and jointly organized by the Sejong Institute and the Charhar Institute.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, KGFP aims to promote international consensus on peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and to raise support for the South Korean government’s North Korea and unification policies as well as search for better policy alternatives. It is a 1.5 track international multilateral consultation platform that includes current and former government officials and experts. The Forum in Beijing was preceded by the events in Seoul on June 19, in Tokyo on July 16, and in Moscow on September 20, and is scheduled to have a final seminar in Washington D.C., the United States, in November this year.
