SUBJECT: Contemporary Security Issues and Policies of South Korea and Israel

On January 16, 2012, the Sejong Institute held the ROK-Israel Joint Symposium titled "Contemporary Security Issues and Policies of South Korea and Israel". The meeting began with the Korea Association of National Intelligence Studies Kim Wang Sik's opening address and the Sejong Insitute President Song Daesung's welcoming address. The ROK-Israel Joint Symposium proceeded with four presentations. The order and title of the presentations are as follows: Presentation Ⅰ"Israel in a Turbulent Middle East" by Efraim Inbar, Director, BESA Center, Presentation Ⅱ "The US and the Middle East" by Eytan Gilboa, Senior Researcher, BESA Center, Presentation Ⅲ "Missile Proliferation in the Middle East" by Uzi Rubin, Senior Researcher, BESA Center, and Presentation Ⅳ "Crises and Intelligence Activities" by Don-Jay Yeom, Director, Sung Kyun Kwan University, Graduate School of Strategic Studies.
