On March 18, 2016, the Sejong Institute and Korea Foundation held the 2nd ROK-Japan Strategic Forum in
Tokyo, Japan. The participants from Korea and Japan shared their expertise on the security order in Northeast
Asia after the 4th North Korean nuclear experiment and made projections on future Northeast Asian order, and
the ROK-Japan Relations.
The objective of the ROK-Japan Strategic Forum is to improve the ROK-Japan Relations through 1.5 track-level
strategic discussions, enhance ROK’s public diplomacy in Japan, and elicit Japan’s support and cooperation on
ROK’s policy on Northeast Asia and unification of the Korean Peninsula.
