2016 1st Visiting Fellow Seminar on "North Korea-China Economic Relations during the Kim Jong-un Era: Characteristics, Difficulties and Future Direction"
The first Visiting Fellow Seminar this
year was held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Dr. Ming Ren, visiting fellow and professor
at Northeast Asian Studies College, Jilin University talked about “North
Korea-China Economic Relations during the Kim Jong-un Era: Characteristics,
Difficulties, and Future Direction.” Visiting fellow Osawa Boonko then
presented on the topic of “Comparing between Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un’s Leadership
Styles Based on Rodong Sinmun.” Senior research fellow Dr. Seong-chang Cheong from
the Department of Unification Strategy Studies moderated the seminar and other
participants including Vice President Un-chul Yang and senior fellows Jong-seok
Lee, Eunsook Chung, Soung Chul Kim, Seong-Hyon Lee, Jae-heung Chung and visiting
fellow Tai Hwan Kwon contributed and shared their ideas during the seminar.
