2023 Sejong-NBR Joint Seminar in Seattle

The Sejong Institute held a strategic dialogue with the Seattle-based National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR) on Dec. 8 under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The seminar mainly discussed security trends and challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, trilateral security cooperation between South Korea, the U.S. and Japan, and the role and deterrence of the expansion of the South Korea-U.S. alliance. South Korean participants include President Sang-hyun Lee, Jae-cheon Kim, professor at Seogang University, Gu-yeon Jeong, professor at Kangwon University, Gil-ju Ban, researcher at Korea University Ilmin Institute, Dong-chan Kim from Yonsei University, Soo-hoon Lee from KIDA, and Sung-won Lee, researcher at Sejong Institute.
