From June 1 to 2, the Sejong Institute held the "Sejong-RECNA Workshop" at the conference room of the Institute. This workshop was held under the theme of "From Peace on the Korean Peninsula to Northeast Asia Nuclear Weapon Free Zone." The Sejong Institute's President Paik Haksoon, Vice President Lee Myon-woo, Visiting Research Fellow Cho Kyung-hwan, Professor Kim Joonhyung of Handong University, Research Fellow Park Jong Chul of Korea Institute for National Unification, Professor Hwang Ildo of Korea National Diplomacy Academy, and a number of other Korean experts attemded the event to have an in-depth discussion with Director Fumihiko Yoshida of Nagasaki University Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition (RECNA), Professor Tatsujiro Suzuki, Professor Emeritus Michael Eric Hamel-Green of Victoria University of Melbourne, Senior Research Fellow Angela Uther Kane of Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, Director Peter Hayes of Nautilus Institute, and others.
