The Sejong Institute held the 8th Sejong Policy Forum of the year on the topic of “Strategies to Overcome the Crisis of ROK-China Relationship after the Decision of THAAD Deployment.” In the first session, Jeongkyung Seo, Research Professor at Sungkyun Institute of China Studies, and Jaehung Chung, Research Fellow at Sejong Institute, presented on “Assessment of China’s Perception of the THAAD Deployment.” In the next session, Du-Hyeogn Cha, Research Fellow at Korea Institute for National Unification, gave a presentation on “Strategies to Overcome the Degrading ROK-China Relationship after the Decision of THAAD Deployment.” The presentations were complemented by profound discussions of eleven discussants, including Prof. Jae-cheol Kim and Prof. Sang-yoon Ma from Catholic University of Korea, Prof. Tae Ho Kim from Hallim University, and Dr. Sang Hyun Park, Associate Research Fellow at Korea Institute for Defense Analyses.
