2016 Nagoya Symposium on ROK-Japan Relations

On Friday, November 25, 2016, the Sejong Institute held its 4th Symposium on ROK-Japan Relations in Nagoya, Japan. This symposium had the purpose of seeking increased Japanese cooperation on preparation for Korean unification and South Korea’s policy on Northeast Asian order, raising awareness of the importance of Korea-Japan relations to policy officials, and of the effective positioning to establish forward-looking Korea-Japan relations in the international community. The participants included Chang Soo Jin (President, the Sejong Institute), Jaejeong Chung (Professor, University of Seoul), Yoon-young Cho (Professor, Chung-Ang University), Sang-Hyun Park (Research Fellow, Korea Institute for Defense Analyses), and Jaehung Chung (Research Fellow, the Sejong Institute) shared opinions with eight Japanese experts on “Building a New Order in East Asia and Korea-Japan Relations.”
