On Thursday, October 4, the Sejong Institute held the domestic conference on the topic of “New Northern Policy and Multilateral Cooperation in Northeast Asia” as part of establishing the public-private network for economy domain in the 2018 Northeast Asia Platform for Peace and Cooperation project. This conference, as part of ROK foreign ministry’s program, brought together Sejong fellows including President Paik Haksoon, and Vice President for Research Planning Cheong Seong-Chang and experts in the relevant field such as Dr. Cho Bong-hyun (IBK Economic Research Institute), Dr. Seo Jongwon (Korea Transport Institute), Dr. Choi Jae-duk (Korea-China Relations Institute at Wonkwang University) and the participants explored measures to enhance multilateral cooperation in Northeast Asia through the New Northern Policy.
