The Sejong Institute held its second Sejong Policy Forum on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Somerset Palace Seoul on the topic of “Denuclearization Strategy of the Korean Peninsula amid North Korea’s 4th Nuclear Test.” The forum was conducted in two closed sessions due to sensitivity of the issue concerning national security. During the first session, the discussants including Sang-min Lee (Korea Institute for Defense Analyses), Heung-gyu Kim (Ajou University), and Hyun-wook Kim (Korea National Diplomatic Academy) talked about the “Assessment and Implication of North Korea’s 4th Nuclear Test.” And the panel from the second session including Bong-Geun Jun (Korea National Diplomatic Academy), Jong-chul Park (Korea Institute for National Unification), and Won-gon Park (Handong University) discussed on the topic of “Denuclearization Strategy of the Korean peninsula in the Aftermath of North Korea’s 4th Nuclear Test.” Other policy experts and government officials also contributed and shared ideas during the second session.
