Sang Hyun Lee, President of the Sejong Institute, Jae-hung Chung, Department of Security Strategy Studies, and Dongmin Lee, a visitic researcher visited Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from September 30 to October 4 for a field research for 2023 overseas joint research project "NATO and SCO Comparative Research."

During the visit, President and researchers held a meeting with Ulugbeck A. Khasanov, professor at the University of World Economy and Foreign Affairs, Gaibnazarov Shukhrat Gaibnazarovich, vice president of the University of Azatovich Tashkent Branch, and Sharipov Kongratbay, vice president of Tashkent University of Kazakhstan. 

Following the meeting, President Sang Hyun Lee, and his group visited Tashkent's King Sejong Institutel and Hwang Mangeum Museum, an example of a successful Kolkhoz (колхоз) in the history of forced migration of Korean people during the Stalin era. They also visited the Korean Embassy in Uzbekistan and shared his opinions on the local situation with Ambassador Kim Hee-sang and his group.​
