On Wednesday, January 24, the Sejong Institute held the 1st Sejong Policy Forum for this year on the topic of “Strategies for Improvement of Inter-Korean Relations and Denuclearization after the PyeongChang Olympics.” Professor Kim Yong-hyun (Dongguk University), Research Fellow Lee Soo-hyung (Institute for National Security Strategy), Honorary Research Fellow Park Jong-chul (Korea Institute for National Unification), and Professor Koh You-hwan (Dongguk University) presented their evaluation on the high-level inter-Korean talks, prospects for North Korea’s orientation, the tasks to mend inter-Korean ties, and international coordination, respectively.
Relevant experts, journalists, and government officials participated in the forum to share views on the measures to improve inter-Korean relations, including Director Kang Tae-ho (Hankyoreh Peace Institute), Professor Kim Heung-kyu (Ajou University), and Professor Shin Beom-chul (Korea National Diplomatic Academy).
