On Friday, March 30, the Sejong Institute
held a panel session on the topic of “the Third Inter-Korean Summit and the
Strategy for Peace on the Korean Peninsula” as part of the Spring Conference of
the Korean Association of North Korean Studies (KANKS) in Dongguk University. Chaired
by Vice President Yang Un-chul (the Sejong Institute), Professor Kim Dong-Yeop
(University of North Korean Studies) and Professor Kim Yong-hyun (Dongguk
University) presented their views on denuclearization strategy and strategy to
further inter-Korean relations. Director Cheong Seong-Chang (the Sejong
Institute), Research Fellow Chung Jae Hung (the Sejong Institute), Lee Seung-hyun
(National Assembly Research Service), and Research Fellow Kim Sang-ki (Korea
Institute for National Unification) participated as discussants and had an
in-depth discussion on the topic.
