Sang-Hyun Lee, President of the Sejong Institute and Myonwoo Lee, Vice President of the Sejong Institute, attended a meeting hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Korea on the occasion of his visit to Korea by Vice Foreign Minister Kai Sauer.

Finnish Ambassador Pekka J. Metso, Deputy Ambassador Antti Niemela, Korean Japanese officer Eveliina Saarinen, and administrative official Oskari LAMPI attended the meeting.

Finland recently applied for NATO member state in the wake of the war in Ukraine, and is also interested in security cooperation with Asia, including the Indo-Pacific. 

Attendees exchanged opinions on various issues such as instability in the international situation, the possibility of huge decoupling, and the Korean Peninsula issue and Korea-Japan relations.​
