​On October 8, 2019, the Sejong Institute held the Eighth Sejong Policy Forum of 2019 on the topic of “New Southern Policy and Directions for the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit” at Somerset Palace Seoul.

The Session was moderated by Dr. Choi Yoonjung, Director for the Center for ASEAN and Indian Studies of the Sejong Institute. Suh Jeong-in, Executive Director of the Preparatory Office for the Commemorative Summit, Kim Taeyoon, Professor at Seoul National University, Lee Jaehyon, Senior Fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies, Bok Dug Gyou, Project Manager of New Southern Policy Team at KOTRA, and Lee Aenah, deputy-head of Culture and Tourism Unit of the ASEAN-Korea Centre made presentations. Park Sa-Myung, Kim Hyungjoo, Kim Giju, Jeong Euihye and Hwang Jae Jun attended the panel for an in-depth discussion.
