On December 27, 2019, the Sejong Institute held a closed roundtable on the topic of “The Current Situation on the Korean Peninsula: Evaluation and Prospects” in Beijing, China. The roundtable featured a special presentation by Dr. Lee Jong-seok, senior research fellow of the Sejong Institute, who spoke about the North Korean nuclear issue and directions for the ROK-China relations.  

The roundtable was attended by prominent experts including Sejong-KT&G China Fellow Yu　Shwaohua, Dr. Jaehung Chung of the Sejong Institute, Amb. Ning Fukui, former Chinese Ambassador to Korea, Prof. Han Xiandong of China University of Political Science and Law, and Secretary General Liu Haoyu of China Association for International Friendly Contact.
