The Sejong Institute held the first Sejong Policy Forum of 2020 on the theme of “A Shift on the Korean Peninsula and Grand Strategy for Peace” on January 22 at Somerset Palace Seoul.

Moderated by President Haksoon Paik of the Sejong Institute, the forum consisted of three sessions – Session I: Visions and Diplomacy that bring about Peace on the Korean Peninsula, Session II: Peace guaranteeing Defense/Security, Session III: Peaceful Co-existence and Unification, Realizing Prosperity through Peace. The forum featured a series of special presentations by Dr. Seongryeol Cho of the Institute for National Security, Dr. Sanghyun Lee of the Sejong Institute, and Dr. Jong-Chul Park of the Korea Institute for National Unification, and prominent experts, including Prof. Bonggeun Chun of the Korea National Diplomacy for Unification, and Mr. Kichan Bae of the Presidential Advisory Council, Prof. Jinyong Chung of Kyunghee University, Prof. Seokjin Ryu of Sogang University, Prof. Yoohwan Koh of Dongguk University, Vice President Kidong Lee of Institute for National Security, and Dr. Jaejun Hwang of the Sejong Institute attended as panelists for an in-depth discussion.
