On July 4, researchers from the Sejong Institute visited Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) in Berlin and held a private meeting. MERICS is a German non-profit thinktank focused on China and is the leading Chinese resaerch institute in Germany, founded by German private foundation Stiftung Mercator in 2013. The institute conducts research and activities focusing on China's political, economic, social, technological and econolical development and its global influence. For the meeting, Mikko Huotari, the President of the MERICS, Chief economic analyst Max J. Zenglein, Helena Legarda, Aya Adachi also attended the meeting.
