The Sejong Institute's Cybersecurity Center held the 5th Cybersecurity Forum at Somerset Palace (Seoul) on August 23rd (Tuesday) under the theme of "the task of gathering digital information in cyber security and cyber investigation."

The forum sought to review the current situation and problems of digital information gathering, and propose a digital information gathering plan that can effectively cope with cyber security and cybercrime in accordance with the digital environment.

At the forum, Kim Changsup (Sejong Institute Cyber Security Center) presented about "the improvement of cyber security laws for tracking hackers and collecting digital information," and Kim Ki-beom (Sungkyunkwan University) presented about "Information Gathering and International Convention Study for Cybercrime Response." In response, Professor Park Chun-sik (Ajou University), Dr. Yoon Sang-pil (Korea University), Professor Yang Geun-won (Korea University), and Director Jeong Hyun-wook (Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice) discussed each detailed topic. Other related experts also participated in the free discussion. ​
