The Sejong Institute held the 7th Sejong Policy Forum in 2022 under the theme of "U.S. politics and diplomacy after the 2022 U.S. midterm elections" at the Somerset Palace Hotel Seoul Seminar Room on Friday, August 26, 2022. 

The forum began with the opening speech of Lee Sang Hyun, President of the Sejong Institute. Lee Daewoo​, Director of the Department of Security Strategy Studies of the Sejong Institute, moderated sessions. In the first session, Ha Sang-eung​, Professor at Sogang University, and Lee Jong-gon, Professor at Ewha Womans University, presented under the theme of ""Prospects for the 2022 U.S. Mid-term Election and Domestic Politics​." In the second session, Kwon Bo-ram, Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses​, Jeong Gu-young, Professor at Kangwon University, and Kim Min-sung, Professor at the Ilmin International Relations Institute,​ presented the theme of "foreign policy prospects after the U.S. midterm elections​"​​
