On May 6, 2022, Friday​, the Sejong Institute held a meeting with China's special representative Liu Xiaoming​.

At the meeting, Liu Xiaoming (​Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Korean Peninsula Affairs), Li Yan (the deputy director of the Chinese Foreign Ministry), and Hong Soo-jung (the second secretary of the Chinese Foreign Ministry)​, and 4 others participated.

They discussed ​about North Korea's nuclear program after the new administration with Chairman Moon Chung-in, President Lee Sanghyun, Vice President Kim Jungsup, and Research Fellow Cheong Seong-chang.
